How To Boost Immune System


In this COVID 19 pandemic, it is our responsibility to take care of our health and increase immune power, to protect yourself from this COVID 19 virus. While boosting your immunity, there are several dietary and lifestyle changes that may strengthen your immune power to help you to fight against the harmful diseases, viruses like COVID 19. 

*There are the following ways to increase your immune power-:

1) Importance of sleeping


*To get enough sleep is most important to strengthen your immunity power, sleep and immunity are closely tied. Getting adequate rest also strengthens your natural immunity. Also, you may sleep more when sick to allow your immune system to better fight the illness.

*Adults should have to get 7 or more hours of sleep every night, while teens need 8 hours and young children and infants up to 14 hours.

2) Have a proper diet


*Several whole plant foods contain antioxidants, fiber, and vitamin C, all of which may lower your susceptibility to illness.

*Healthy fats such as olive oil and omega-3s are highly anti-inflammatory. Since chronic inflammation can suppress your immune system, these fats can naturally combat diseases.

3) Stress management


*Lowering your stress levels through meditation, yoga, exercise, and other practices can help keep your immune system functioning properly.

4) Stay hydrated


*Hydration does not necessarily protect you from germs and viruses, but preventing dehydration is important for your overall health. Dehydration can cause headaches and may hinder your physical performance, focus, mood, digestion and heart and kidney function. These complications may increase your susceptibility to the disease.

5) Moderate exercise


*Intense exercise can suppress your immune system, but moderate exercise can boost it up, moderate exercise may reduce inflammation and help your immune cells regenerate regularly.

*Examples of moderate exercise include brisk walking, steady bicycling, jogging, swimming, and light hiking. Most people should aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate exercise per week.
